American Veterans Traveling Tribute & Traveling Wall Coming to Pigeon Forge’s Smoky Mountain Military and Relic Show

Pigeon Forge, TN— Veterans and active members of America’s armed services travel great distances and make great sacrifices to preserve and protect freedom and liberty, how far will you travel to honor their contribution?

The indoor version of the American Veterans Traveling Tribute and Traveling Wall will visit Pigeon Forge from August 21st – August 24th 2014.

The Traveling Wall will be a part of the larger Celebrate Freedom Event in Pigeon Forge that includes the Welcome Home Vietnam Parade.  Nicknamed “ The parade they never got” .  The Smoky Mountain Military and Relic show will be the host of the wall at The Smoky Mountain Convention Center at the Pigeon Forge Ramada Inn.

Smoky Mountain Resorts,  The Collier Restaurant Group,  Smoky Mountain Wineries,  Sons of Confederate Veterans,  United Daughters of the Confederacy, U.S. Tours, and many other sponsors have made the inclusion of the tribute to veterans possible.

The mission of the project is to travel the nation to honor, respect, and remember men and women who served, and to pay specific tribute to those who gave all in that service. Since the tribute is mobile it allows people to honor and respect veterans and active military personnel without having to travel great distances to do so.

The AVTT presents several Cost of Freedom memorials and exhibits with its centerpiece being the Traveling Wall, a 50 percent scale version of the Viet Nam Memorial Wall in WashingtonD.C.. The indoor Cost of Freedom Tribute is a great, one of a kind indoor tribute, depicting Honor Respect and Remembrance of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. Paying respect to veterans, active duty military, police officers, and firefighters;  anyone whose daily job is to put themselves in harm’s way, to protect and defend our way of life, in locations around the world or here on the home front. AVTT is committed to helping our nation’s heroes, one community at a time..

Remembering, educating, and respect are the main focuses of AVTT. These special tributes and exhibits mean The AVTT is fully the American Veterans Traveling Tribute.
