Smoky Mountain Resorts To Host Food Drive 

Smoky Mountain Resorts offers convenient drop-off locations for collaborative food drive with Sevier County Food Ministries

Pigeon Forge, TN: Today, Smoky Mountain Resorts, a family-owned business and hospitality leader in Sevier County, TN, announces their Spring Food Drive in collaboration with the Sevier County Food Ministries. The food drive is scheduled for March 30-April 5 and includes convenient drop off locations at the following Smoky Mountain Resorts locations:

  • The Resort at Governor’s Crossing
  • Governor’s Inn
  • Country Cascades
  • Ramada Inn South
  • All Season Suites
  • Creekstone Inn
  • Rodeway Inn

In addition to supplying convenient drop off locations, Smoky Mountain Resorts provides an on-site tent location on Saturday April 5 at Country Cascades in Pigeon Forge. “Fill up the Truck” or drop off your food items into food barrels located in the lobby.

In-demand food items to be collected:

  • Canned meats and vegetables
  • Canned Tuna and fish
  • Peanut Butter, Nutella
  • Oats, Rice, pastas
  • Pasta sauces
  • Spam, Treet, corn beef (canned)
  • Canned or dried beans
  • Mac and cheese (boxed)
  • Boxed Dry Milk
  • Canned milk
  • Soups

Kay Collier-Pittman, President of Smoky Mountain Resorts, explains the the motivation to partner with Sevier County Food Ministries, saying , “Due to the harsh winter, electric bills rose higher than normal, leaving many families choosing to either buy food or pay for electricity. By partnering with Sevier County Food Ministries, Smoky Mountain Resorts strives to ease the burden of families in our community during the Easter season. Our Spring Food Drive provides an opportunity for everyone to share in this endeavor to help those in need.”
