Another year is coming to a close, and the annual New Year’s Eve celebrations are set to begin in the Smokies. In addition to festivities in Gatlinburg, this year The Island in Pigeon Forge will host their own New Year’s Eve extravaganza, so that’s double the fun!

The Island in Pigeon Forge will host its first New Year’s Eve celebration, during which it will unveil its three million dollar fountain, an sensory experience with lights displays and beautiful sounds.
What’s more, The Island in Pigeon Forge is offering multiple VIP events for its guests, including a VIP party at the Timberwood Grill VIP Party and Private Midnight Rides on the famous “Wheel.” Inside the Timberwood Grill, a VIP party featuring a DJ, hors d’oeuvres , and cocktails will rock on until after midnight.
Perhaps the most exciting part of The Island on New Year’s Eve is a private ride on the Wheel. Experience fireworks in the Pigeon Forge sky from a bird’s eye view by reserving your private car while sipping on drinks and enjoying chocolate covered strawberries.
New Year’s Eve Ball Drop at the Space Needle
Welcome 2014 in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg with the annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop at the Space Needle. A brilliant fireworks display ejects from the 400-foot tall structure at the stroke of midnight; this year, actress and body double Rachel Grant will host a Las Vegas-style show, and Mentalist Bill Gladwell shows off his abilities in an interactive showcase of mind-bending proportions. That’s not all: The entire city of Gatlinburg is in on the fun, offering specials and activities to celebrate the new year.
